Not European of course, but Suburbia is a great American punk film

Thanks for getting back to me but I've seen all of the above. Just wondering if there was something like Breaking Glass meets Christiane F. out there that I didn't know about. Well, there's this: www.imdb.com/title/tt0089251/which i've never seen but sounds entertaining (anybody with a copy please PM me)

Umberto D. by Vittorio De Sica is a personal favourite (and nothing to do with the above films). It might seem sentimental to some but I find it to be really touching and sad.

Another recommended film, particularly for any John Cassavetes fans, since he and Peter Falk act in it and the style is very similar to his own films. 'Mikey & Nicky' directed by Elaine May.

Finally got round to watching The Proposition, really enjoyed it but then And the Ass saw the Angel by Nick Cave has been one of my favourite books forever so I may be a little biased

Anybody here seen a film called Aftermath? Thought it looked quite interesting, and I'm currently trawling for a cheap copy on eBay.

Buy the DVD release from Unearthed Films with his two other short films. Don't suppose anyone's seen his film The Abandoned yet? Sounds interesting.

I was a bit underwhelmed by this myself - much better and in the same vein are the Miguel Angel Martin scripted "Snuff 2000" shorts featuring Whitehouse soundtrack...

Saw Aftermath last night. I thought it was indeed quite slick and stylish, and I'm glad to have picked it up. I've been interested in a couple of recent DVD releases: this by S.P.K. and this by Pan Sonic. Anyone seen either of these and if so, are they any good?

Does the SPK DVD feature the infamous "Despair" video? Not sure of the details, but as the DVD is titled 'Despair' I'd expect it to be included
