hello all i first heard whitehouse when i was in high school from a friend at a local record shop(that i now work at).i couldn't put it down. i still play their material in somewhat regular rotation but literally played the stuff constantly when i first encountered it. no band ever had me in such awe. this band DELIVERED. i've yet to hear much that measures up to albums like great white death, dedicated to peter kurten, never forget death/twice is not enough and my favorite record of all, quality time, the atmosphere of that record being unmatched by anything i've come in contact with since. i'm impressed with the new direction the band is going in and like it alot , but my absolute favorite period, and some of my favorite music ever, being those early and mid period albums. i missed two opportunities to see them live with my own band traveling the last time they were in the north east coast... maybe next time.

Aww man, No Trend. I wish someone would bring out When Death Wont Solve Your Problem on CD. I've had to put up with my own dodgy vinyl rips for years. Recently I was surprised to find a CD by them which is relatively recent, something to do with polyester, strange and eccentric, but not WDWSYP...

Most of the tracks of the early LPs, 12" and 7" are compiled on this CD : NO TREND "Top forty hit" released by Teenbeat in 1995.

Never been to Baltimore but I'd love to visit.
Home of The Wire and John Waters!

Slight chance I may move to Baltimore this fall. I'm in contact with a guy at NASA Goddard for a post-doc, so I may have to hoist the anchor and move to MD.
