Hi William,
I know that you're not particularly nostalgic and are constantly moving yourself, the label and the band forward, but I must confess that I was a little disappointed that there was no "Silver Jubilee" for you and the band. 25 years is no mean feat! For an independent label with it's own uncompromising vision, to have survived and indeed, prospered is quite an achievement. An achievement that a lot of Fanatics would have liked to celebrated with you! ;D

Just wanting to add to this thread if you don't mind - is there a possibility in the future of more vinyl releases, such as vinyl singles of some of the "classics" eg. A Cunt Like You/Just Like A Cunt? Or perhaps a single from Asceticists - 2006?
Also, I remember mention of plans to release Bird Seed on vinyl. Will this still be happening in the nearby future or do you feel a need to keep on moving forward? I realise that Bird Seed is not of your complete vision and input, such as the title track credited to Peter Sotos, but even so?...

25 years is a long time, and I'm quite proud of that, yet it's not within my philosophy to celebrate retrospective achievements.
There may well be more vinyl releases, if there's enough interest.
Bird Seed is pretty much my complete vision even though, as you correctly state, Sotos did record the title track with Albini, I renamed it to fit in conceptually with the whole project.
WB.

Fascinating! I know a few people (and have read articles on the album/band written by others) who were under the impression that it was the other way around, and that 'Bird Seed' was a Sotos concept that you adapted the rest of the album towards. Thanks for clarifying that.
