For anyone interested in the original "Blair's Paedophiles" thread - a bizarre selection is at

Loving the truly cloak-and-dagger "view source" Jill Dando guy
Lots of web material on this subject (amazing Belgium piece at
www.pehi.eu ) none of which is especially conclusive. See also Bryn Alyn, Derek Laud, Greville Janner and Frank Beck etc etc. Chris Johns, the surviving brother of three Bryn Alyn witnesses has posted garbled anonymous comments at abovetopsecret recently. Alan Clark's diaries are quite useful too if one can read between the lines.
Hadn't heard of that 'Golden Circle' patrickhernandez, these stories seem to pop up everywhere and it's so hard to judge how much is real and how much is a kind of weird urban myth or mass hysteria - sexual abuse is perhaps best considered in terms of power relations and childrens' homes certainly have a horrific power imbalance. Did anyone else follow up on the link from WB's blog about the "Children's Village" in Scotland? That was a really saddening tale.
Fair point re: Larry O'Hara & tin hats (never thought I'd see that name on this forum!) but now and again D-Notices do help stories evade popular consciousness - case in point being Kathryn Blair's suicide attempt a few years ago which I heard via a BBC contact before it hit the fringes of the web...
