BLACKEST EVER BLACK Friday 21st October REGIS CUT HANDS live RAIME live SECRET SPECIAL GUEST + BLEED & BLACKEST DJs The Basing House, 25-27 Kingsland Rd, London E2 8AA 10pm-4am. £6.50/£8/£10 On Friday 21 October, BleeD presents an exclusive showcase of London label, Blackest Ever Black, featuring its core artists and some very special guests. The night takes place at The Basing House on Kingsland Road, London E2. Formerly On The Rocks, this recently refurbed, 300-capacity venue boasts Funktion 1 sound, a large smoking terrace and a very agreeable dinginess throughout. Regis will play a special DJ set belatedly marking the release of his In A Syrian Tongue EP on Blackest, while Raime will be launching their new 12" for the label with an extended live set. We're honoured to be joined as well by Whitehouse mastermind William Bennett, who'll be presenting the London live debut of Cut Hands, his radical, rhythm-based solo project "inspired by Haitian vaudou musicians' capacity to make intensely powerful music with almost no technology." BleeD and Blackest Ever Black DJs will lend their support, and there's also a set planned from a very special secret guest, whose identity will not be revealed until the night itself. A very small number of early bird tickets are available for £6.50; thereafter advance tickets are £8, and OTD price is £10.
