we have to start a campaign: whitehouse needs a third member! well, that's my humble opinion, at least. witnessed whitehouse last performance featuring peter sotos, that was in september 2002, and i had a blast!!! this was the first time i saw whitehouse perform live. i was also at the foundry when russell haswell played the bassdrum in some acoustic version of cut hands has the solution, and all i can say is that... russell is not a good drummer!!!
ok, any suggestion here for a possible whitehouse third member!? i have my own opinion, but i keep it for myself, for the time being, waiting for other's suggestions! but definitely, i'm not the one for the job. cheers <ph>

to be perfectly honest, if I'm not going to be the third member, I don't want to see anyone else up there with them. Sotos didn't fit anymore - not sure if he ever did, really - and Bennett and Best have a chemsitry that just won't exist with a third party. I'm not sure if they're extremely close friends, or if they really even interact outside of Whitehouse, but they've known each other for something like 25 years. It's virtually impossible (and unfair) to stick someone else in the middle of a dynamic like that.

Yeah, the two-man line-up is plenty fine. Why go back to having three again for the sake of it?

because until the end of 2002, whitehouse has always been a trio live, so yeah, i think they need some new blood!!! does that make sense? <ph>

sotos was a glorified stage prop. tomkins isn't coming back. maybe start a furious letter writing campaign to glenn michael wallis and stefan jaworzyn.

remember the old days : whitehouse trio : tomkins, best, bennett, playing RIGHT TO KILL ......or sotos, best, bennett playing JUST LIKE A CUNT......looooong live version, what a fuckin trip.........and now we have a duo best + bennett, playing wriggle like a fuckin eel..............different times for each incarnation of WH, but each incarnation is POWERFUL, period. I think ONLY sotos can make it with WH nowadays, nobody else, but its not gonna happen anymore, don't dream.

hey man, you seem to be rather misinformed: glenn michael wallis was a frequent live contributor to whitehouse live actions during the 80s (from LA2!), and also one of those who resurrected whitehouse live, along WB and stefan jaworzyn, in 1990! i've got no clue what this guy is up to these days!? as for jaworzyn, let's say he's "busy" reviving his improv unit Ascension, which is a good thing!!! if you think of old WH members who could possibly join WH today, i would rather think of kevin tomkins... but i saw him perform as part of SJ at No Trend #2 recently, pure crap, so forget it!
no, no, i'm thinking of NEW blood! and i'm not thinking of luke younger from birds of delay... sorry luke! nor am i thinking of myself, OK!? cheers <ph>

I maintain these 2 guys are not historical wh members, sotos and tomkins are.
