i must agree that a duo is just fine, or is even desirable. with the right mindset a duo can be more powerful and focused than any other arrangement, as the music is more easily realized without so much input from other folks.

The duo works guys............................ Its an English thing. Kinda like Sparks or the Pet shop Boys Just for the record...despite having relocated there from 1973 until 1976, Sparks aren't English. They're from Los Angeles.

Um....B+B are FUCKING GREAT TOGETHER. Onstage, and on record. Mkay? Couldn't agree more. ;D In all seriousness, though; if it's not broken, don't fix it. Unless the proposed third member is a beautiful, scantily clad woman.

It's easy to see why many see Sparks as "English" though....even if they aren't the genuine article. Their (in many eyes') best record came from their time out there, and it's where they really started to take off. Moving back to the States actually seemed to be when their greatness diminished until just recently with the last two records....
The Mael brothers are self-described "anglophiles".

Given the direction of their last two albums, if they do add a third wheel it'd be interesting to bring in a percussionist from Congo or Burundi or suchlike. Not only could this be sonically exciting, but just imagine the live actions: a black guy laying down the driving rhythms while two shirtless white guys are running around barking the lyrics and making noise...you know it makes sense.

Will there be a Prussian Blue countdown clock for legality like there was for the Olsen twins?

A prussian blue countdown clock would surely be how long it takes for most "fans" to loose interest once they are legal?
